How to Perform:

  • Start by sitting in a comfortable position, preferably in Vajrasana (sitting on your heels) or Sukhasana (cross-legged) with your back straight and shoulders relaxed.
  • Bring your hands in front of you.
  • Close all your fingers into fists on both hands, ensuring the fingers wrap around the thumbs.
  • Now, gently touch the tips of both thumbs together.
  • Keep the palms facing downwards towards your knees or the ground, and ensure the fists are slightly apart from each other.
  • Close your eyes and focus on your breathing while maintaining this mudra.

It’s important to stay calm and maintain steady, deep breaths throughout the practice to enhance its benefits.

Duration:

  • Practice Agni Shakti Mudra for 15 to 45 minutes daily.
  • It can be divided into multiple sessions, such as three to four sessions of 15 minutes each.
  • You can practice this mudra in the morning or whenever you feel tired or lethargic.

Benefits:

  1. Boosts Vital Energy: Agni Shakti Mudra is known to enhance the fire element in the body, which represents vitality, strength, and metabolism. It boosts the body’s inner energy levels, making it effective for those experiencing fatigue or lack of enthusiasm.
  2. Improves Circulation and Relieves Low Blood Pressure: This mudra is highly beneficial for individuals with low blood pressure. Regular practice can help alleviate symptoms associated with low blood pressure, such as headaches, weakness, dizziness, and lethargy by improving circulation and balancing the body’s energy levels.
  3. Relieves Cold-related Issues: Since Agni Shakti Mudra stimulates the fire element in the body, it helps in combating cold-related problems such as chills, cold hands and feet, and general weakness. The increase in internal heat helps to clear congestion and aids in reducing symptoms of common colds, coughs, and respiratory ailments like pneumonia.
  4. Enhances Metabolism and Digestion: By activating the body’s fire element, this mudra helps in improving digestion and metabolism. It assists in clearing toxins from the body and can be helpful for individuals dealing with slow metabolism or digestive disorders.
  5. Reduces Stress and Anxiety: The calming effect of focusing on your breath while holding this mudra can help in reducing stress, anxiety, and mental restlessness. It brings about a sense of balance and harmony within the body and mind.
  6. Improves Mental Clarity: The enhanced circulation and increased fire element improve overall mental clarity and focus. It energizes the mind, making it helpful during moments of sluggishness or brain fog.

By incorporating Agni Shakti Mudra into your daily routine, you can increase your body’s inner heat, improve your circulation, and strengthen your overall energy flow.
