Method:
Place the tip of your thumb on the base of the ring finger (Anamika). Keep the other fingers straight and together. Perform this mudra with both hands close together, and occasionally rub your hands.
Precaution:
Do not hold this mudra for too long. Release the mudra as soon as sneezing or yawning stops.
Benefits:
- This mudra helps prevent sneezing and yawning, particularly during meditation, where such interruptions can be distracting.
- With regular practice, it can be beneficial for those who suffer from excessive sneezing, especially in the morning.
- When the palms are facing downward in this mudra, it is used to establish an idol of God. This variation is also known as Sthapini Mudra.
